Deric Ravsten, DO, FAPA

Dr. Ravsten is a native of Southeast Idaho, received his undergraduate degree from Idaho State University, completed medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa and then his Psychiatry Residency at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.  He is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with a broad range of practice experience including work in outpatient and inpatient clinical settings, working with children, adults and the elderly.  He opened Life Change Associates in 2009 with the commitment of creating a multi-disciplinary team of experts that can deliver evidence-based mental health care that addresses the whole-person – medically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually.  His professional passion is found in assisting others along the path of recovery, to appreciate and experience the daily process of wellness!

Special interests and expertise include: TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), mindfulness skills training (ACT), ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, telepsychiatry, geropsychiatry, ADHD, Schizophrenia and mental health disorders complicated by co-occurring substance use, trauma or personality disorders, and providing individual and group psychotherapy.

Board Certified Physician Assistant, Kebai Bills, joined Life Change Associates with the goal of serving the psychiatric field by following her profession passion: to erase the stigma associated with mental illness and simply help people enjoy life to the fullest.

Whether through her work or her teaching, she is passionate about helping her community members through competent and evidence-based medication management of mental illness. Kebai has taught mental health diagnostics and treatments to students in ISU’s physician assistant program for the past many years and continues to do enjoy doing so.

To this practice she brings a wealth of experience in diagnostics of disorders, including bipolar disorders, major depression, schizophrenia and the spectrum of anxiety disorders, as well as substance abuse and dependency. Her practice philosophy includes using interdisciplinary approaches to disease treatment and symptom management.

Kristy Christensen, LCPC

Kristy obtained two graduate degrees from Idaho State University. The first, Master of Science, Psychology was prompted by her devotion to understand “why” people do what they do. The second, Master of Counseling, Mental Health, was inspired by her desire to know “how” to help people realize the outcomes they want to achieve. This educational background has assisted her in being able to provide clients with effective and efficient assistance in reaching their goals and helping them to live a more fulfilling life.

Work Experience includes: counseling for adolescents, adults and couples dealing with depression, adjustment, anxiety, anger, violence, communication, addiction, and relationship issues.

Karl Letko, PA-C

Karl Letko PA-C is a Pocatello Native, graduating from Idaho State University with a masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010. He has two Bachelor’s degrees from ISU in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Microbiology with Medical Technology emphasis. He joined Life Change Associates in 2015.  Karl has previously worked on the adult and geriatric psychiatry inpatient services at Portneuf Medical Center.

He has a true interest and passion in helping patients and their families to understand and overcome temporary and long term challenges associated with advanced age.

Danielle Hamill, PA-C

Danielle Hamill, PA-C

Danielle Hamill is a board certified Physician Assistant who has been working in the field of mental health for over 7 years.  Her experience has included working at State Hospital South and at local mental health clinics in Southeastern Idaho which has helped her to develop her skills and knowledge base.  She has complemented her work experience in various settings by receiving additional certification in psychiatry through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  Her experience and training, her drive to be continually learning and improving is a perfect fit with the team of psychiatric professionals at Life Change Associates.

 

Aryssa McBride, LMSW

Aryssa McBride, LMSW

Aryssa McBride is a Southeast Idaho native, received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social work from Idaho State University.  She has an interest in Forensic Social Work.  Before receiving her LMSW, she became licensed and has been working with adult clients with mental health disorders since 2017.   She feels a strong professional commitment to help clients learn skills and tools to improve their quality of life and to recognize their individual strengths.

Tiffany Bascom, LCPC

Tiffany Bascom is a graduate of Idaho State University with a Masters in Counseling and has a wide range of counseling experience working with teenagers and adults.  She has experience treating a wide range of conditions including anxiety, mood, trauma-related and personality disorders.  She is skilled in teaching mindfulness, relaxation and coping skills.  She brings extensive clinical experience and strong professional skills of empathy, active listening, professionalism and commitment along with a passion to help others to feel understood, empowered and confident.

Myla Day, LMSW

Myla Day completed her master degree in social worker at Idaho State University. She was born and raised in rural Idaho which gives her a particular insight into the social problems and cultural influences in our region. She works with a wide variety of mental health disorders and utilizes a person-centered approach. She seeks to assist her clients in finding solutions that will best serve them and build upon their existing strengths. Special focuses include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. In her down time, Myla enjoys outdoor adventuring, crafting, and painting.
